If you feel a compelling pull towards sipping a delicious drink when the sun comes out, you’re not alone! It’s no surprise that a rise in temperature has us seeking out thirst-quenching beverages of every variety. The problem is that, all too often we head to a beer garden or terrace bar and spend too much money to keep ourselves hydrated.

That’s where we come in! VonShef has a whole host of barware and glassware to help you make your favourite summer cocktails, mocktails and more at home. This blog post features a few of our favourite summer drinks recipes, alongside the VonShef essentials that ensure making and serving them is as enjoyable as the drinking.

Prosecco &
elderflower fizz.

  • 100ml elderflower liqueur
  • 1 small sliced lime
  • 3-4 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 small sliced lime
  • 200ml prosecco, chilled
  • Ice
  • Mint sprig & lime wedge for garnish
  • VonShef Brushed Gold Highball Glasses
  1. 100ml elderflower liqueur 100
  2. Half fill your highball glass with ice cubes. 
  3. Pour 100ml elderflower liqueur directly over the ice.
  4. Add a few mint leaves and a slice of lime. Give it a little stir.
  5. Top off the glass with chilled prosecco.
  6. Stick your mint sprig in the side and throw in a lime wedge.
  7. Briefly stir and enjoy!

Cranberry crush.

  • 100ml cranberry juice
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 50ml orange juice
  • 75ml pink lemonade
  • Orange peel for garnish

  1. 100ml elderflower liqueur 100
  2. Fill cocktail shaker with ice.
  3. Pour all remaining ingredients over the top.
  4. Shake well and strain to serve.
  5. Garnish with a slice of twisted orange peel and enjoy.

Strawberry &
black pepper gin.

  • 1 bottle of your favourite gin
  • 400g punnet of strawberries, halved
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 5 whole black peppercorns
  • Mint sprig for garnish
  • VonShef Gin Decanter & 2 Balloon Glasses
  1. Mix the gin with the strawberries and caster sugar in the decanter.
  2. Seal your decanter, store in the fridge and stir every two days for 10 days.
  3. Strain though a coffee filter and serve a measure over ice in a balloon glass.
  4. Add peppercorns and stir.
  5. Garnish with a mint sprig and enjoy.

Personalised punch.

  • 3 large lemons
  • 3 large oranges
  • 400g punnet of strawberries
  • Filtered still or sparkling water
  • VonShef 3 Tier Drinks Dispenser
  1. Add lots of ice to the base unit.
  2. Fill each tier with still or sparkling water.
  3. Add different fruits to each tier to create infused water.
  4. Let your drinks dispenser do the hosting, leaving you to enjoy the garden party.
